Alan is always poking his nose into nooks and crannies. It seems like he’s lost something but he always just shrugs off offers to help, muttering something about it being his and his alone. It’s a bit rude, really. It’s as if he needs to be the first to find whatever he’s looking for.

Alan has gotten so good at looking for things that he can usually find a few extra Pims now and then; his success, however, depends entirely on his ability to Explore, so the better he gets (success at an Explore roll vs. 4 followed by success at an Explore roll vs. 8), the more he might find.

Clique Abilities: Better Lucky than Friendly[]

Alan’s type of luck is such that those who are friends with him will experience increases to their own Luck (+1), as well as their Dedication (+2), Concentration (+2), and Explore (+1) skills. Unfortunately, Alan’s attitude doesn’t go far at winning him friends, as is evinced by the penalty he carries to his and his friends’ Conversation skill (-2).
