This minor event happens every year on Anedius 1, despite not being in the calendar. You may gain a few skill steps, and potentially a point of Glory or one of two abilities.

Most choices are automatic, the maximum roll levels are low (6-8) and there are almost no negative consequences to any choice.

Phase 1: In or out?[]

  • 1. Time to lock your dorm room door.
 Automatic: +1 Study level in one enrolled class (random?), Add and inform Pack of Balloons, conclude adventure.
  • 2. It could be a lot of fun!
 Automatic: Advance to phase 2.

Phase 2: Load your balloons[]

  • 1. Go to a window and scout out the scene at the fountain.
  Automatic: Planning +1 SS, advance to phase 3c.
 Success: +1 Incantation Spells SS, advance to phase 3a.
 Failure: Stress +1, advance to phase 3b.

Phase 3a: Ready for Action[]

  • 1. “We’ll provide cover while the rest of you fill balloons at the fountain.”
 Automatic: Command +1 SS, Leadership +1 SS, advance to phase 4a
  • 2. "Not my problem.."
 Automatic: Confidence +1 SS, Striving Against The Foe +1 SS, Advance to phase 4b.

Phase 3b: So Much for that Idea.[]

  • 1. "I'd rather go it alone"
 Automatic: Willpower +1 SS, Striving Against the Foe +1 SS, Advance to phase 4b.
  • 2. "We'll provide cover while the rest of you fill balloons at the fountain."

 Failure: Playfulness +1 SS, Random Compete +1 SS, End Event.
  • Luck/Running vs 6. You've always had a soft spot for mad dashes.
 Success: Add The Deluge ability, Playfulness +1 SS, Endurance +1 SS, End Event. 
 Failure: Playfulness +1 SS, Random Compete +1 SS, End Event.
  • Insight/War vs 4. Find a sheltered hunk of high ground and rain down fury upon your enemies.
 Success: Intimidation +1 SS, Playfulness +1 SS, Strategy +1 SS, End Event. 
 Failure: Playfulness +1 SS, Random Compete +1 SS, End Event.
  • Go back to your room and lock yourself safely inside.
 Automatic: Add and inform Pack of Balloons, Playfulness -1 SS, Awareness +1 SS, End Event.
