Catherine Chard doesn’t like you. It’s nothing personal, really. She’s just above you and just about everyone else you know and everything you do. You see, Catherine’s family is very, very well off and very, very important and those are just two things that you are not. Think of it as survival of the fittest. Think of Catherine as a huge dragon and think of yourself as an insect. Dragons don’t ignore insects on purpose, that’s just how it is. It’s pretty likely that more people would dislike Catherine if she ever even spoke to them, especially if they were to ask her opinion of the current state of the school’s tuition. As it is, however, it’s difficult to dislike someone who you never even have to worry about interacting with.
It is Catherine’s goal to raise the tuition to the school, which is right now very cheap due to the support of many of the potentates of Elumia, to the point that only the wealthiest, and worthiest, of students can attend. Catherine is quite tired of being surrounded by riff-raff and means to do something very concrete about it.
Ability: Feel of Neglect
Catherine is so good at ignoring people who she feels are beneath her…which sadly is most everybody…that she can occasionally make someone realize just how insignificant he or she is in her eyes; the practical result of this crippling self-doubt is that, for an entire day, one will suffer an extreme lack of confidence (which is to say, Confidence is Set to 1) and one's ability to learn (a random Training Modifier is Increased by 1). These feelings pass in time, but that's mostly because Catherine doesn't care enough about you to keep reinforcing them.
Clique Abilities: Among the Elite
Friends of Catherine's find doors opening for them wherever they go, and hear conversations of a scope and nature you don't often get at school - and, eventually, it starts making an impression. Confidence, Etiquette and Politics are all Increased by a point.
