Another of the lesser known observatories, the Collington Observatory has the distinction of being the first observatory built of stone and Voulnauge instead of simple brick and mortar. The combination of solid stone and floating wood allow this observatory to reach a fair height without need of a "good" design, an accomplishment not easily matched.
