This is the adventure your Hawk familiar does without you. Which means all rolls use your familiar's skills, not yours.

Stage 1: Adventure Takes Flight

  1. Conversation vs 4 - Talk with your master about the things he's seen and heard about the Academagia's landscape.
    • Success: Befriend +1 Skill Level, Explore +1 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Explore vs 2 - Soar above the land and let your eyes do the work.
  3. Befriend vs 3 - Talk with the other birds about the campus.

Stage 2: The Old Hoopoe

Phase 1: The Old Hoopoe

  1. Persuasion (Society) vs 4 - Talk further with the other birds.
    • Success: Dedication +2 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Dedication vs 8 - Fly, searching out the Hoopoe's Court with keen eyes and sharp senses.
  3. Persuasion (Society) vs 4 - Ask your master to cast a small spell on your behalf to find the Court.

Phase 2: A Mission of Worthiness

  1. Strategy (War) vs 5 - Figure out a way to catch Sharpfang.
    • Success: Ambush +1 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Patience (Malice) -1 Skill Level, select another option.
  2. Ambush vs 5 - Set out bait for Sharpfang, then carry him to the groundskeepers!
  3. Patrol vs 5 - Patrol the heath until you find him, then simply dive onto him in honorable combat!

Stage 3: A Worthy Home

The next two stages (stages 4 & 5) depend upon your choice here

  1. Observation vs 5 - Where should a hawk live?
    • Success: Explore +2 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Explore vs 6 - Search Chorda Peak for a good roosting spot.
  3. Observation vs 5 - Search for a nesting spot within the school.

Stage 4: Caught in the Snake's Snare

Phases A and B are mutually exclusive

Phase A

  1. Composure (Sleight-of-Hand) vs 7 - Find a way to weaken the snare!
  2. Brute Strength (Bully) vs 6 - Break the snare with your beak!
  3. Reason (Plot) vs 6 - Use a sharp rock to fray the snare line!
  1. Competition (Athletics) vs 5 - Break the branch the snare is attached to.

Phase B

  1. Traps (Ambush) vs 5 - Examine the snare for weaknesses!
    • Success: Unlocks Option 2, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Composure (Sleight-of-Hand) vs 5 - Keep your head, and dig up the peg anchoring the snare.
  3. Brute Strength (Bully) vs 7 - Pull with all your avian might!

If you succeed, be sure to skip Phase A in the next stage.

Stage 5: Back at the Hoopoe's Nest

Phase A

  1. Storytelling vs 6 - Tell an exaggerated account of your encounter with the snakes.
    • Success: Persuasion (Society) +1 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Persuasion (Society) vs 6 - Convince the guard to let you in.
  3. Duel vs 7 - Challenge the guard to a Sky Duel.

Phase B

  1. Bluff (Gossip) vs 5 - Distract the guard.
  2. Brute Strength (Bully) vs 7 - Force your way past the guard!
  3. Gambling (Malice) vs 8 - Challenge the guard to a game!

Stage 6: A Mission from the Court

From this point, there are no skipped phases

Phase 1: A Mission from the Court

  1. Language vs 8 - Study the ancient claw scratchings of the court.
    • Success: Unlocks Option 2, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Perception (Sabotage) vs 6 - Search by air. (Unlocked by Option 1)
  3. Observation vs 7 - Travel to the site of the duel and make your way to the shrine by way of the ancient trail.

Phase 2: Winning the Whistle

  1. Famous Battles (War) vs 7 - Recall the ancestor birds linked with the whistle.
    • Success: Unlocks Option 4, Courage (Forge) +2 Skill Level, select another option.
    • Failure: Select another option.
  2. Famous Poetry (Grammar) vs 9 - Complete the verse to undo the enchantment guarding the whistle.
  3. Endurance (Rimbal) vs 7 - Bear the shield long enough to break through and claim the whistle!
  4. Courage (Forge) vs 7 - Appeal to the ancestor spirits of this place to let you claim the Snakewhistle. (Unlocked by Option 1)

Phase 3: The Battle with the Snakes

  1. Blow the Snakewhistle! (Percentile Roll?)
  2. Intimidation vs 11 - Menacingly display the Snakewhistle towards the snakes in the hopes that they'll flee from the very sight of it.
