Like the sundials that came before them, Keyhole Crystals were once considered essential to Iife on the Islands. These crystals were enchanted to follow the sun so that the light was constantly being focused through their central opening, and each keyhole Crystal had a different effect. This particular Keyhole Crystal was enchanted with the ideals of poetic language; anyone who sat under the Iight that poured through the central iris would find words springing to mind that they never would have thought of on their own. While other Keyhole Crystals light fires or pass on knowledge, this particular one will boost someone in linguistic forms. More than a few well known poets have brought their pieces here in hopes of breaking through a writing block or taking their poem from the 'normal' level to an epic level; of those poets, many are still read in today's classrooms, showing that perhaps there is something to this theory after all.
