Professor Briardi is the current Regent of Durand, the oldest and most prestigious of the Colleges. For Briardi, a woman, to lead this College is a testament to her skill and the respect she has garnered from Legate Orsi. There are a great many parents and students who resent her holding the position, though. However, her proficiency in the art of Negation allows her an advantage in dealing with irate parties because she is quite skilled in seeing the truth of matters. She can make detractors blurt out the real reasons they resent her position, typically much to their embarrassment.
In her dealings with the College itself, Professor Briardi is even-handed and friendly. She always has an open ear for her students and she expects them to do their best, put the best face forward for the College, and of course for the University. Anything failing that meets not with punishment, but with great disappointment. Her beauty works to her advantage in this regard as the typically rowdy males in the House are eager to appease their attractive Regent.
