School Survival[]
University life is different from almost everything you have experienced before. You're in the heart of the largest and grandest city of the Empire, learning the ancient secrets of magic, surrounded by students you barely know. Learning School Survival will give you the tools to survive and thrive.
Dominant Attribute: Insight
- this is only accurate in that it applies to 3 of the 8 Subskills; 2 are instead governed by Luck, and 1 each by Charm, Intelligence, and Strength).
Note: The School Survival Parent Skill and its Subskills are capped at Level 10. This is not a bug but intentional.
- (Field Medicine, Relaxation and Test Taking, added later, do have content for Level 11; Relaxation being the newest, wiki contributors have not yet determined what happens if/when those three are raised to 11, which would presumably raise the Parent Skill to 11 ...)

Curiosity[]
The Academagia is a renowned University, but it is also the place where the greatest of magical research has occurred. Cataneus discovered the magical mechanisms of Volnage there in the year 167, the mage Essedra made the sensational discovery of the first derivative pheme in 480, and the list goes on. Curiosity was at the root of their greatness, and it can be at the root of yours.

Almost every Wizard has a Familiar, a magical companion and helpmate which can ease the burdens of labwork, spells, and loneliness. Field Medicine[]
The techniques of first aid and short term herbal remedies fall under the umbrella of Field Medicine, not Chirurgery. Given all the explosions, fires, falls, rock dog bites and Marchant encounters that can befall a student in his or her first year at the Academy, this can be a handy skill to pursue.

Relaxation[]
Relaxation is a skill many folks, (particularly teachers) take for granted - but there's nothing more likely to get you through a challenging academic career than the ability to fling yourself down on a comfy couch and set your worries aside while you daydream about monkeys playing water polo for hours at a time. Remember: If you want to be a master of slaking off, you have to take it seriously.

Schoolyard Education[]
Students are a diverse lot and when you have a University as large as Academagia there are bound to be some bad apples. Instructors tend to turn a blind eye to minor incidents of bullying and so it will be up to you to prevent it as best you can. Test-Taking is a very specialized skill, but an incredibly useful one to have in an academic environment.
